The concept behind this poster was to create a unified event poster for Golden Gate Park Events, implementing specific details through typographic hierarchy and usage of textures. In congruence with a chronological list, I chose to highlight the location through matted earth tones of greens and brown tints accented with a variation of yellow hues. This utilization of colors alongside the drop shadow of certain details (i.e titles), create more unity throughout the poster. For typefaces, I chose a more modern Nobel fontcomplimented with a traditional serif Weibei typeface to balance both the description and titles. To differentiate whether or not the event would come at a cost, free events are easily visible with an icon adjacent to the event description. Lastly, two trees I layered in the background break the grid and offer a greater sense of depth to the poster.
